Jaime,
Check out the book "Ou...Thanks Diana!

Jaime,
Check out the book "Out of Sync Child" by Carol Kranowitz. It is an amazing resource on Sensory Processing Disorder, and I bet you will be able to see Jax somewhere in the book. She describes the various ways that SPD can look. 2 children with SPD can be almost polar opposites in their symptoms. As for the "toe walking", has he always does this? I know it can also be caused by having a short Achilles tendon, or can be a form of cerebral palsy called "diplegia". I had a relative that had to have surgery on her tendon so she could walk flat footed. Just something else to look into.Stacy - midlifearmywife.comhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11074902004757175218noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1999581978602826469.post-51976425869715546152010-04-13T08:29:11.005-07:002010-04-13T08:29:11.005-07:00Great job to Bug and mom and dad!
Thanks so much ...Great job to Bug and mom and dad!

Thanks so much for this post. I feel I'll have to look into SRD a bit more. Many things sound very similar to our son. I've done just a little research after reading this post last night, and he has many characteristics of SRD. I've always noticed, as has his pedatrician, that my son walks on his toes, which I know to be a characteristics of autism but the doctor was never concerned b/c he didn't display many / most other traits.
Our son started swimming lessons yesterday and it was alsmot the same play by play for him as it was for bug.
And there is so much more!
Thanks again!Jaime G.https://www.blogger.com/profile/02462088980672365029noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1999581978602826469.post-42596434180758724542010-04-12T20:50:44.281-07:002010-04-12T20:50:44.281-07:00ahhh way to go little bug!!!
